Art Gallery

The Challenge: Transform an awkward existing storefront, compromised by service and structural elements, into an attractive art gallery.

AxD clad the intruding elements, a fire stair and restroom, with Douglas fir paneling – transforming them into sculptural features. The warm wood paneling acts as a counterpoint to the white display walls and conceals doors to a lavatory and fire stairs.
